Example of use
Spray-mixed heavy powders
Due to the limited absorbency of liquids by the builder substances it is necessary to use highly effective washing active substances by lowest amounts possible for the manufacture of spray-mixed heavy powders.
Apart from the builder composition, the type of construction of the spray-mixer is also decisive for the max. Obtainable absorbency of liquids. In unfavourable cases only 8 % WAS can be reached without influencing the powder aspect in a negative way. Due to the high efficiency of DEHYDOL HD-FC 6, an excellent detergency is already reached with 8 % WAS. In case of more favourable plant-parameters, amounts of liquids of max. 16 % WAS are obtainable. This fact enables the manufacture of powder concentrates (heavy powders). When builder raw materials with usually available bulk density are used, bulk densities in a range of 550 g/l - 750 g/l can easily be reached by simple spraying of undiluted DEHYDOL HD-FC 6 at room temperature.
The powders are of well flowable, dry and non-dusting quality. Spray-mixed powders constitute agglomerates. The sprayed surfactant is predominantly located at the surface of the grain. As a result especially nonionic surfactants with their strong penetration ability tend to migrate through the packaging. This fact has expecially been taken into account when developing DEHYDOL HD-FC 6. Due to its special composition, the penetration ability of the nonionic surfactants contained in DEHYDOL HD-FC 6 is highly suppressed. In most cases a special interior lining of the packaging used is unnecessary.
