Example of use
DEHYDOL O 4 is suited as emulsifier and solubiliser for solvents and oils (benzene hydrocarbons, mineral oils, essential oils). It is especially suited for the formulation of various cold cleaning agents which have to be seperated after their use as quickly as possible. DEHYDOL O 4 has a low soldification point (approx. 0 °C) and is low-foaming in its use. Due to the short alkyl chain, the emulsifying power is only slightly pronounced, so that this short-chain fatty alcohol ethoxylate finds use when only a short-term emulsification with a subsequent easy seperation of the emulsion is desired. It exhibits an excellent wetting effect towards hard surfaces and therefore also a high degreasing power on metal. DEHYDOL O 4 has the typical odour of a headfraction alcohol.
