Appearance
HYDAGEN® HCMS-LA is a clear viscous, light yellow aqueos solution of 3 % chitosan and 1.2 % lactic acid.
Example of use
HYDAGEN® HCMS-LA is a cationic film former of marine origin. It is suitable for use as a fixative polymer in styling products, such as mousses, setting lotions and pump sprays. In addition, HYDAGEN® HCMS-LA exhibits excellent repair effects on hair, and can be used in hair conditioning lotions to treat split ends. The pH-value of the final formulation have to be less than 6.0. HYDAGEN® HCMS-LA is not sensitiv regarding high temperatures (80°C) and can be added before the emulsification to the hot water phase. The product is incompatible with all anionic combinations and limited with systems which have to be neutralized with alkali.
Usual dose of use: 10 - 35 %
Optimal pH - value: between 3,5 - 5,5
